This is the day you came into the world;
The angels are smiling at the lovely face of yours;
Near and dear ones are pampering you with love;
The world welcomes the happiness you brought!
How great your welcoming was!
But, i did not realise until later;
How wonderful you were;
Not only to the world;
But especially to me, in my life!
Could i ever thank you enough?
For the gift of yourself in my life!
You brought me a new love, a new hope;
A new life full of love and laughter;
Who am i to distress you?
With my selfish behaviour; cruel conduct;
When you had given me so much!
You presented me a companion; a true friend;
Thank you for meeting me as i am;
For having seen the goodness in me,
Help me to be more like you;
To be able to love without expectation!
